My review of Jersey Shore, The television show

Smushing, partying, and stupidity?

“…Their glory is their shame…” Philippians 3:19

Uh, I hate to admit it but I watched this show not because I am interested in any of these people. I had to go out of my way to watch this show to see what in the world everyone was talking about. President Obama, News reporters, cnn...a lot of people are talking about this show and on top of that the reality stars get paid a lot of money per episode. So I wanted to find out why. I watched a couple of episodes of season 1 and it didn’t hold my interest so I forgot about the show until I learned of season 2. However when I watched Season 2 I was horrified.

In a nutshell the show is all about, “fighting, sex, cheating, and partying” I recommend not watching this show. I mean why in the world would you watch it, unless you want to observe what it means to be an extremely promiscuous male or female, how to get drunk, and etc.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SHOW:
-stars of the show bring strangers practically home every single night they party just to “Smush” (have sex with them) and move onto the next female they meet.
-most of the reality stars cheat on their faithful partners who they claim to “love.”
-this show profiles the toxic relationship of a couple who live in this house where the guy verbally and emotionally belittles his girlfriend all while investing his time and interest in other girls who he sees at clubs.
-some of the stars of the show who reside at the same beach house have sex with each other and think nothing of it the next day.
…in a nutshell shell the show is about idleness and nothing beneficial to anyone‘s well being.

This show is blog worthy because this totally reminds me of the scripture where it says “…Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things.” Philippians 3:19

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” Matthew 6:22-23

I want to encourage you to be very conscious and aware of what you watch, listen to, and the company you keep.
Because all these things have an affect on our psyche and can shake the foundations of our morals. We are not perfect but we have to identify our weak areas and seek to renew our minds by not allowing negativity or foolishness into our sphere of influence, (the things we hear and see).

Don’t watch that junk…it is not good for you. J
