Muscadine Grape Skin Seed Extract Review

I love this stuff!
I first learned of Muscadine Grape Skin Seed Extract in my chemistry class when my professor was talking about the most powerful antioxidant that he was aware of and currently researching.

It is believed to kill Prostate Cancer Cells, destroy free radicals, and etc.

I purchased it and have been taking it for a very long time now and I can tell you the benefits that I experience:
1. More energy
2. Hair and Nails that grow constantly. I cut my nails once a week. My eyebrows grow back after being waxed 2-3 days, and etc.
3. Consuming this extract a couple of days prior and during my menstrual cycle, cures me from cramps and nausea. (I usually have heavy cramping and become very nauseous during my menstrual cycle).
4. My Blood pressure decreased incredibly, my previous baseline blood pressure was 115/90, my current blood pressure baseline is 90-95/65-70.
4. My mother's eyesight has improved while taking the extract, so much so that it is to the point that she does not need to wear her prescription eye glasses while driving anymore. It is amazing!!

I love it. No need to buy the expensive brand first. The first brand of Muscadine Grape Skin that I purchased was very inexpensive. Myself and my family is fromVitacost.com.

I suggest you start off with a less expensive purchase for supplements and then try the more expensive ones and compare the results and see if the more expensive supplement is of higher quality and worth the expense.

My lazy tasty recipie, Curry Tilipia (Baked)

I like to cook and eat my own food;  however I often do not have the time to go into all the extra preparation...like cutting onions, crushing up peppers and seasoning.  I live by myself and with a few overnight guest(s) at time. Therefore when I get home I am so tired so I love to whip up a quick dish...while I do cleaning, shower, and etc.

One of them is my Baked Curry Tilipia:

I love Tilipia filet, it is thin, simple, and easy to bake, fry, and saute.

Supplies:
Baking pan, foil paper, Jamaican Curry Powder, Salt, Pepper

Instructions for 2 tilipia filets
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
2. One tsp of Canola oil and spread it on the bottom and sides of the baking pan
3. Optional: Rinse Tilipia Fish with lemon/lime juice. This is optional Tilipia does not have a fishy smell to it, and if it does that is not normal, check the expiration date on the package.
4. Get a large bowel, Pour 2 cap full of Jamaica Curry, 2 tsp of Iodinized Salt and 1 table spoon of Pepper. Mix all the contents.
5.  Get one tilipia filet and place it in the bowel. Covering it with the mixture
6. Place each Tilipia filet in the baking pan, cover the baking pan with foil paper
7. Place the pan in the oven at 400 degrees fareingheight for 20 minutes.

I usually eat this with boiled potatoes, rice and vegetables....anything quick that I can leave on the stove and jump in the shower or do quick cleaning for several minutes while leaving the stove unattended.

My family and friends love the dish. :)

My hair journey, A Black womans long hair recipe

In June of 2010, I cut my hair down to 3 inches, seriously! I was tired of going to salons. I have cut my hair many times but this is the shortest that I have cut it.

I cut my hair once in between June 2010 to May of 2011, perhaps I cut it between 1-2 inches during that time period.

Currently my hair when straight is down to my shoulders. Ironically I now have chemicals in my hair, I dyed my hair a blondish red, I actually don't really know the color. I've done a Brazilian keratin hair straightening process before, (I DO NOT RECOMMEND!).

My hair always grows really fast, It seems that my hair grows faster than the .5 inches per month that many hair stylist state. I am now on a No cutting my hair rule since I think I look better with my hair long.

I wish I would have chronicled my hair growth but I really thought nothing of my hair until my classmates and co-workers were commenting on my fast hair growth.

1. I wash my hair either every day or every other day. I really Do!! I think it is a myth that black woman shouldn't wash their hair every day or other day. I do not always use a shampoo everyday sometimes I put conditioner on my hair and wash it out. I like Creme of Nature Shampoo, Herbal Essence, and Organix Shampoo.

2. Always use a great Conditioner! Not all conditioners are created equal. Some conditioners actually make my hair dry! Again I love Creme of Nature Conditioner, Herbal Essence, and Organix conditioner.

3. I let my hair air dry. In the past, I used a blow dryer and straighten my hair often, this damaged my hair incredibly, so I stopped using it. I now allow my hair to air dry and leave it curly. Before I leave my apartment I wash my hair at least one hour before. If I straighten my hair, I comb it straight first, part it in sections and then blow dry it. I do not straighten my hair often.

With relaxer, When I had one years ago, I washed my hair once a week, used a leave in conditioner, blow dry my hair, and in between washes I used IC PM Care at night.

4. You do not need "Grease." That is a myth. I do not use grease. The only oil that I use is Olive oil, coconut oil, or Shea Butter oil, on my scalp when my hair is braided into extensions.

Trust me, Try it for at least one month.

From this point onward I will chronicle my hair growth. Good Luck on healthy hair journey! <3

5 principle to Be Happy Always

5 principles to be happy always, even if things are not going right and may appear to be crumbling around you.

Purpose: We all have had really stressful periods in our life, if you haven't you will, and I regret wasting tears on the periods of stress, bad news, and etc, in my life. Tears change nothing, worrying does not fix the situation, anger adds to the problem, only productive and effective actions can change the current situation. So when things go totally and absolutely wrong I do the following:

1. Get that dirt off my shoulder, (My ebonics/slang), meaning get away from whatever/whomever is bringing your emotions down.
2. Create a plan. Obviously a mistake in planning may have occurred somewhere, create a new plan, itemize everything. Even if previous goals were never met, continue to make more short term goals. Eventually they will get met and give you confidence in your planning and decision making skills.
3. Spoil yourself, Treat Yourself well. I have been guilty of not doing this enough. It is written...(Somewhere in the Bible, I just can't recall at the moment), a man that works too much is not wise.
4. Be around people that celebrate you. We all have or should have people that love us and that celebrate us, are happy for us, are best friends, people who are fun to hang out with at all occasions. Never be too busy for your best friends. They are hard to come by and are true Gems.
5. No Tears Allowed. They don't change the circumstance. They do not help to change the present nor your future. Plus too much meditation on whatever went wrong is not healthy. Move onward, one step at a time.

Matthew 6:27, "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

Are Psychics, For-Prophets, and Fortune Tellers Real?

Disclamer: This is a highly opinionated post.

Often we go to parties, gatherings, and hang-outs and as a part of the event a fortune-teller or palmist is there to give you a reading in regards to your future..."for entertainment purposes only."

Then there are prophets or self proclaimed prophets, that for a donation or a fee, will give you a prophecy for your future.

I have encountered people who were able to predict (Guess) certain things that were going to happen before they happened. I truly believe the following:

1. Whatever you believe or think may happen, Proverbs 23:7
2. Whoever you surround yourself with greatly influences your future, Proverbs 13:20
3. Either we allow the Bible/Word of God/Holy Spirit to direct us or we allow seducing spirits to direct us. Psalm 119:105, 2 Corinthians 11:14
4. Your wasting money
5. It is an unhealthy habit: Think about it, it is unhealthy to trust your future in someone else's vision.
6. Discourages us from praying and putting our faith in God, Romans 10:11
7. We give up the good fight of faith, 1 Timothy 6:12

I do not believe that psychics or any such person who proclaims to be have any such power...I think we are always warring with spirits and need to always retreat to God when our future is cloudy and unclear. Ephesians 6:12

Ooohh Harold Camping...you need help! Prophets gone wrong.

I think Mr. Harold Camping is trying to be the Present Day Noah. This is the second time he has predicted destruction and the Rapture: First time was set in 1994, this time seven years later for May 21, 2011.

I mean seriously where did you get May 21st from? And why would God contradict himself when he said, Mark 13: 32-36,

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert[e]! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”

Mr Camping, you may be a wonderful man; however you need to stop trying to predict the future.

I believe just live your life, live it well, right, so when the day comes you will not have any fear.

Been Gone But Now I am back

Aaahhhh! I've been absent from blogging because of my busy life. Working full-time, Full-time student, active in other random activities, Full-time friend, sister, daughter, New York City Resident, and averaging 5 hours of sleep a day. All the little things of life! :)

Love you fellow bloggers and audience.
